MIST 624 Research Methods for Instructional Sciences
Narratives:
This course has introduced to me quantitative and qualitative research methodologies in the context of instructional science and technology. It also provided me with an overview of the history and current trends of research in the field. I have been given an opportunity to review and critique a wide range of research and have been required to formulate a conceptual idea and have complete a literature review of a potential research topic. I have also finished a proposal for my capstone project.
Outcomes:
Now I am able to:
- Distinguish between qualitative and quantitative research reports.
- Select and evaluate appropriate techniques in education research.
- Examine methodological approaches to designing research.
